Contribution to knowledge of Schoutedenichia thracica (Acari, Trombiculidae) from Türkiye
Abstract
Schoutedenichia thracica Kolebinova, 1966 (Acari: Trombidiformes: Prostigmata) was collected from ectoparasitic larvae of Apodemus sp. and Rattus rattus belonging to the Muridae. The world distribution of this species and the morphological characteristics of the studied specimens are given by comparing them with previous records. In addition, a comprehensive list of the known host species from which this mite has been collected to date is provided.
